Dwight has served as Lead Pastor of NewPointe Community Church since 1985. The church had existed for decades and had settled into an average of 75 attendees. Today, NewPointe is a thriving and growing group of over 4,000 people across multiple locations in Northeast Ohio.

Under Dwight’s leadership, NewPointe has acted upon the belief that the local church is the hope of the world, and that through relevant application of Scripture, authentic leadership, and intentional relationship-building the world will be changed for Christ.

Dwight grew up in Canton, Ohio and is a graduate of Ohio Christian University (Circleville, Ohio). He has been married to Patty since 1989, has four children, and lives in Sugarcreek, Ohio.



Dr. Blake –Impact Middle East Board Chair- is lead pastor of Seattle First Free Methodist Church.  Blake is an ordained elder in the Free Methodist Church of North America.  He served for 10 years as a missionary in the Middle East.  Blake also served as Director of Missionary personnel for Free Methodist World Missions.  Blake holds a Masters of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree, with a focus in Global Evangelization, from Regent University in Virginia.


Dr. Henry Church

Dr. Henry Church is a graduate from Seattle Pacific University.  He completed his MA at the University of San Francisco, and his PhD from the University of Malawi (Chancellor College) in Africa.  He is an ordained Elder in the Free Methodist Church.

He served as lead pastor in churches in the US for 17 years is in California, Washington and Indiana.  He served as a missionary in Zimbabwe and Malawi, and as Area Director of Free Methodist Missions for Africa and the Middle East for 30 years, including 2 years in the World Missions office of the Free Methodist Church.

He served as the Middle East Area Director for the denomination, as well as the Exec. Director for Impact Middle East for approximately 5 years.  He is currently retired, living in Warsaw, Indiana.  He continues to serve as Missions Coordinator for Wabash Conference of the Free Methodist Church and continues to represent IME in speaking engagements across the nation.


Matt Dewing

Matt grew up a fifth generation dairy farmer in the Northeastern Pennsylvania.  He and his family still enjoy farming, however Mat’s primary vocations are entrepreneurship and leadership.   Mat is a physical therapist, certified athletic trainer, personal trainer, and executive coach giving leadership to several organizations.  He is married to his high school sweetheart, Janice, and together they home school their eight children.


Robert Klopfer

Bob has been married to Janie for 48 years and have three adult children and six grandchildren. Bob has been a CPA for 46 years and is currently active in public accounting and real estate development. As a trustee for NewPointe Community Church and after visiting the Middle East, Bob realized what Jesus meant when He said "Love Your Neighbor" and decided to do what he could to fulfill Jesus’ command.

Dr. Joe Culumber

Dr. Joe is an ordained elder in the Free Methodist Church and currently serves on the pastoral staff at First Free Methodist Church in Seattle. He has worked as a church planter, missionary, and denominational executive. He most recently taught at Greenville College for twelve years.


Linda Kate

Linda Kate is a Juvenile/Probate Judge in Ohio, USA.  Linda lives on a cattle farm in Ohio with her husband, Kevin.   They have been married for 30 years and have one daughter.  Linda has been dedicated to the ministry of Impact Middle East for over 10 years.


Joe Helms

Joe joined Ronald Blue and Co.,LLC in 1997.  RB&Co. is a fee-only financial services firm providing financial counsel from a biblical perspective.  He is a Principal in the firm and the Managing Director of the Seattle office.  With 23 years of experience as a financial advisor, Joe has expertise in investment management, cash flow, retirement, tax and estate planning as well as charitable gift planning.  He works with his clients to help them clarify and achieve their financial goals.  

After receiving an honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy, Joe earned a B.A. from San Diego State University and a Master’s of Education from the University of Washington.   He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) with memberships in the Financial Planning Association and Kingdom Advisors. 

Joe, his wife Lisl, live in Shoreline, Washington.  Their Danny, son is a sophomore in college at Baylor University and their daughter, Amy, is in a graduate program at Florida State/Asolo Conservatory. Joe and Lisl are involved in leadership at their church.  (Seattle First Free Methodist.)


Dr. Dales Woods

Dr. Dale is married to Dawn and they have three adult children and one grandson.  Dr. Dale is an ordained Elder in the Free Methodist Church.  Dr. Dale graduated from University of Michigan with a B.A. in administration, and Masters of Divinity from Asbury Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry in Leadership from Asbury Seminary.  Dale has pastored two churches in Michigan, leading both of the churches through significant changes, relocation and Kingdom growth.  He has also served the Free Methodist Church through Denominational Missions as Missions Mobilizer.


Bishop DR. David W. Kendall

The Reverend David W. Kendall, an ordained elder in the Free Methodist Church, was elected to the office of bishop of the Free Methodist Church in May 2005.

 Bishop Kendall received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Spring Arbor College, Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary.  In 1984 he graduated from Union Theological Seminary with a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies, New Testament.

Bishop Kendall’s passion for ministry centers on two primary calls:  first, to communicate the Scriptures as God’s Word in faithful and relevant ways to our world today and second, to assist God’s people to be truly the church in the 21st century.

Bishop Kendall and his wife, Lavone, have three married daughters who with their husbands have blessed the world with six of the most wonderful grandchildren ever born. 

The Kendalls reside in Indianapolis, Indiana.
