IME works with a network of Arab Christians from various backgrounds who are working to bear witness to the gospel in a war torn land. These gospel peacemakers are studying the scripture together, visiting families in hardship and reaching across religious and cultural divides to share the love of Jesus.

Understanding the Context of The Holy Land

General Country Information

The Holy Land stands as one of the most historically and spiritually significant regions in the world, revered by followers of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Stretching from the Galilee to the Wadi Arabah, its landscapes tell the stories of faith, struggle, and divine encounter that have shaped humanity’s spiritual history. Today, this land continues to be marked by conflict and resilience, as communities endure wars and hardships across Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq—yet hope persists among those who live and serve there.

Spiritual Context

In the midst of ongoing turmoil, Arab Christians—some of whose roots trace back to the earliest disciples—continue to live out their faith as peacemakers and witnesses of Christ. Impact Middle East (IME) works reach the unreached and is building bridges across cultural and religious divides. Their ministries center on compassion, hospitality, and studying the Bible. Stories of reconciliation, healing, and steadfast faith reveal how God’s presence is near even in times of uncertainty.

Biblical Heritage

The Holy Land remains a living testament to the Bible’s enduring message. From the Western Wall and the Temple Mount to the Sea of Galilee, Nazareth, and Bethlehem, the footsteps of prophets and of Jesus Himself are still traced today. Modern believers, like Hilda and Gadeer, find renewal and peace through prayer and Scripture, just as generations before them did. Whether through personal reconciliation, rediscovering the Word of God, or learning to trust Him through suffering, these stories remind us that the biblical narrative continues—alive in the hearts of those who follow Christ in His own homeland.
